A Frozen Dream

Micah + Kya were up for anything... even walking out into the middle of a frozen lake. The photos were epic!

Here's a few tips for your elopement (or adventurous portrait session).

1.

Make sure you plan ahead. If it's cold, bring a warm coat, some gloves, and good shoes. We'll take warm-up breaks. :) If it's warmer outside, make sure to hydrate. Especially here in Colorado...

2.

Wear something that makes you feel amazing. You want your photos to look and feel like YOU! If you want help figuring out the best outfit, I'm here to help!

3.

Plan something fun that represents the two of you. Kya + Micah popped some champagne out on the ice! Some couples bring a six-pack, their dog, a cozy blanket, specific florals that mean something... You do you!

4.

Work with your photographer on the best time for your "ceremony" if you're planning an elopement. If hiking or traveling is involved you'll want to make sure you leave plenty to time to get there without hustling around. No one wants sweaty photos ;)

Thanks for taking a few moments to read through these tips. There's plenty more to come! I hope you'll follow along. Until then, cheers friends!
